By Still Waters I

The Lily’s Garment

They stand in line
Clamoring
Demanding
Unfulfilled
Ready to swallow me up
Wave upon wave of
Responsibilities
Needs
They want to be my masters
But if I serve them
I will hate my Lord
If I hold them
I will despise my Lord
Field lilies
Beautifully clothed
Elegantly clothed
Lovingly clothed
Peaceful
White
Swaying in the breeze
God knows
God will provide
First in line?
His Kingdom
Seek this
The lily’s garment
Will be mine
